Jesus used this story when speaking with Nicodemus in John’s Gospel chapter 3, where he said, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life” 3:13-14 When bitten by a Snake you could Trust God-Look & Live- or ignore what God offered and die. Like the snake, Jesus was lifted up on the cross dying for our sins. So when we trust and believe that his death was to pay our debt, we will receive forgiveness and eternal life in him.
